The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.

The fabulous beaches and rocky coves of the Argentario

Sandy beaches  all around you (including some with disabled access, such as  la Cantoniera and il Moletto), pebble beaches and rock barriers, with bathing establishments, bars and restaurants, or in an uncontaminated natural state.

Alternatively, there is also a vast choice of  panoramic rocks, some of them polished by the sea (as in Cal del Bove) from which to dive into the crystal-clear water and take a relaxing swim.

FEE, Foundation for Environmental Education, has awarded the town of Monte Argentario a Blue Flag in 2015 confirming the quality of its waters for bathing as well as its water treatment service, recycling, pedestrian zones, cycling tracks and green areas, services offered on the beaches, etc. Why not dive in?

Underwater Activities

The Argentario Sea is perfect for  diving and snorkelling for both beginners and experts. The sea bed is amazing, with its wealth of fish and colours, grottos to explore and nature to discover and photograph. The area offers  diving areas offering everything you need to dive into the blue of the Argentario. The seahorses await you!

Water Sports

You have plenty of choice here in terms of places for  windsurfing, kite-surfing and sailing at any time of year, to experience the feel of the wind on your skin. You can begin at Giannella beach, go on to  Le Cannelle and continue in the  Gulf of Talamone.

Excursions at Sea

From Porto S.Stefano (15 minutes from the Relais) boats set out every day for the islands of Giglio and Giannutri in discovery of the Tuscan Archipelago.

In summer, there are also  mini-cruises with lunch on board  and “fishing tourism” to spend a different sort of day on board a fishing boat, eating whatever you catch.

And finally, you can  rent a boat or rubber dinghy to experience the sea and the coast from a different point of view:

if you love the sea, this is the perfect place for you!
