Celebrations of Saint Erasmo<\/strong>
On June 2nd, Porto Ercole celebrates its patron saint, Saint Erasmus. The festival begins in the preceding days with shows, concerts, a sea procession, rowing regattas, and concludes with a fireworks display over the sea.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

AUGUST<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Palio Marinaro dell’Argentario<\/strong>
On August 15th in Porto Santo Stefano, it’s Palio day. Since 1937, the four districts of Croce, Fortezza, Pilarella, and Valle compete in this rowing challenge along a 4000-meter course. The festivities begin in the preceding days. Upon arrival, the rowers from the winning district receive the embrace of many district residents who dive into the sea to celebrate the victory.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
